We would like to notify the public and our other stakeholders that due to the Covid-19 outbreak Greenland’s capital, Nuuk, is closed down from 18 March for at least 3 weeks (see the Epidemic Committee’s press release (Danish and Greenlandic only) at https://naalakkersuisut.gl/da/Naalakkersuisut/Nyheder/2020/03/190320-Nye-tiltag-mod-spredning-af-COVID_19-i-Nuuk). Several other restrictions are put in place, including travel restrictions affecting all of Greenland.
This situation means that our offices are closed and all of our employees at the Mineral Resources Authority are working from home. We can only be contacted through e-mail, as we do not have access to our phones. We will do our best to continue our work as usual, but please bear with us as response times might be longer.
We also recognise that the global Covid-19 situation might affect exploration and mining activities in Greenland in the upcoming period. We are working closely with our licensees monitoring the situation, and are looking into relief options.
For related enquiries about exploration and mining activities, including export permits, please contact our official e-mail address firstname.lastname@example.org, or your case officer.
